Asking for Ribbon Quotations

Ribbons are available for almost every thermal transfer printer model. We do need the printer make and model though to ensure we send you the correct ribbon type. If you are not sure give us a call and we will ask one of our engineers to call in and take a look at the printer for you and arrange a free sample for you to try.

Ribbons are available in various different grades to suit varying label materials and applications.

Wax. These ribbons are ideal for fast and economical printing on vellum and coated paper. They produce high-contrast, sharp and clear print. Weyfringe Diamond Transfer ribbons are enhanced with resin for increased smudge resistance

Wax Resin. These ribbons are highly recommended for coated paper when improved resistance to smudging is required and also for use with synthetics. If multiple contact barcode scanning or frequent abrasion of the label surface will occur these ribbons will produce a more resilient finish.

Resin. These ribbons offer excellent resistance against scratching, extreme temperatures and solvents. They are used primarily for synthetics requiring the ultimate in scratch and chemical resistance and can meet UL and CSA standards. Ribbons resistant to washing and ironing are also available on request.

Weyfringe ribbons have a special back coating which reduces friction with the print head providing longer print head life and less downtime.
